My Own Dearest:–

I am writing this with my knee for a table and a hell of a racket raging about. The reason is that there is a concert to-night – open air – also a supper in the Officer’s and Sergeant’s Messes Our tables have been requisitioned and therefore I am writing as before stated. I had two good old letters today and Sweetheart I am just bubbling over about them. They get better all the time those letters of yours and they carry me away quite when I read them. You Baby. I just worship you.

I saw Glennie to-day again and he has not changed a particle just the same old boy. I saw him a few days ago for a moment did I tell you? but haven’t had a chance to talk to him until to-day. I think I like Glennie better than any of them. Dalrymple, who is RS.M. now is a good old trusty. God bless him. But they are all good scouts. Major Parry is now C.O. – Lt. Colonel and Major Keegan is 2nd in Command.

To-night will be a big spread I expect – the last for some time as we’ll soon be moving up I suppose.

Dearest this is no letter at all and I should be spanked for being so stingy but I’ll tell you about it to-morrow. Today, I worship you and want you every second.

Your own

Ross
